Stuart Mitchell, PT
Obtained his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2000 from Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO.
Polestar Pilates trained in rehabilitation and Level III NAIOMT training.
Has a special interest in sports medicine and athletic injuries. In the past has worked as the Varsity Boys basketball assistant coach and volunteer Athletic Trainer for BHS (2004-2009). Currently, volunteers as the 8th grade basketball assistant coach for both boys and girls at Woodward Middle School. When not performing PT, Stuart enjoys the outdoors, playing sports, fishing, and gardening.

Mikki Townshend, PT, OCS
Mikki hales from the UK. She originally studied Sports Science at Liverpool Polytechnic, followed by a Masters in Physical Education from the University of Western Ontario in Canada. She attended Physical Therapy School at the University of Florida and has now been in practice for 20 years. She is a Certified Orthopedic Specialist, Rehabilitation Certified Pilates Instructor, PMA Certified and a Faculty member for Balanced Body University. Other clinical interests include manual therapy, cervical dystonia, sports medicine and women’s health. Community activities include ten years of volunteering with the Bainbridge Gymnastics Club; club soccer and High School and Club Volleyball teams. She has also volunteered with the Spasmodic Torticollis DySTonia Foundation, presenting at their annual symposiums and recently completing an exercise DVD. Mikki is married, with two children and has lived on Bainbridge for 15 years.

Janette Ahrndt, PT

Balanced Body University Faculty member, Certified Pilates Instructor, Physical Mind Institute, 1999. Certified Gyrotonic® Instructor, 2006. Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) certification 2009.
Janette brings a unique vision to her practice. Her expertise lies in her gentle, hands-on approach to individualized care which promotes a balanced body. Movement and posture reeducation are practiced in simple, usable forms, to expand vitality for daily activities. Janette has extensive training and experience in Pilates, Gyrotonic® movement, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Lymph Drainage Therapy.
Janette makes her home on Bainbridge Island. She enjoys kayaking, being outdoors and sharing time with friends and family. She joined New Motion Physical Therapy in 2006.

Mark Schorn, PT
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, 1982
A partner in Harbor Square Sports Therapy, Mark worked in the Edmonds/Shoreline area from 1983 through 2000. He specialized in sports injury rehabilitation. In addition to working with the Shoreline School District developing an Athletic Medicine program, Mark has worked with the Seattle Jurnior Hockey Association as both a team trainer and athletic medicine consultant.
Mark takes special interest in shoulder dysfunction and rehabilitation of the throwing athlete.
Mark is an avid bicycler and a gardener ' wannabe.' He joined New Motion Physical Therapy in January 2008.
