About Janette 

Janette brings a unique vision to her practice. Her expertise lies in her gentle, hands-on approach to individualized care which promotes a balanced body. Movement and posture reeducation are practiced in simple, usable forms, to expand vitality for daily activities. Janette has extensive training and experience in Pilates, Gyrotonic® movement, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Lymph Drainage Therapy. 

Janette makes her home on Bainbridge Island.  She enjoys kayaking, being outdoors and sharing time with friends and family.

About Luke 

Luke was raised on Bainbridge and recently returned to the island with his fiance, Laura. He treats nearly all orthopedic and neurological conditions with special interests in whiplash injures, balance and sport-related spinal and lower extremity injuries. Outside of his physical therapy practice he enjoys soccer, biking, photography and traveling.

About Lynn 

Lynn's clinical interests include Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, Orthotics, Biomechanical Evaluation, Women’s Health, Pilates, Core Align. Outside of work, she enjoys bicycling, skiing/snowboarding, backpacking/hiking, kayaking, soccer, drawing, reading and traveling. She believes that learning is life’s greatest adventure undertaken as a challenge and a joy that becomes most exciting when shared with others.

About Mark 

As partner in Harbor Square Sports Therapy, Mark worked in the Edmonds/Shoreline area from 1983 through 2000.  He specialized in sports injury rehabilitation.  In addition to working with the Shoreline School District developing an Athletic Medicine program, Mark has worked with the Seattle Junior Hockey Association as both a team trainer and athletic medicine consultant.

Mark takes special interest in shoulder dysfunction and rehabilitation of the throwing athlete

He is an avid bicycler and a gardener 'wannabe'

About Mikki

Mikki treats orthopedic diagnoses including spine/pelvis, pelvic health (women and men), and chronic pain. She has a special interest in pain neuroscience, cervical dystonia, and working with gymnasts and dancers. Mikki has lived on Bainbridge Island for nearly twenty years. She has been married for a long time (!) and has one grown-up daughter in graduate school at Simon Fraser in Vancouver and an almost grown up daughter who is attending University of Oregon. She has a Sheltie called Lewis and you will see her walking him all over Bainbridge. She has volunteered with the Bainbridge Island Gymnastics club since 1999.

About Suzanne

A 1985 cum laude graduate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College, Suzanne's early career focused on long-term rehabilitation, specializing in work with stroke patients and people with chronic neurological diseases. Over the years, her practice expanded into acute care, home care, sports medicine, orthopedics, and academia.

Suzanne has performed extensive continuing education in variety of areas, including manual therapy, Feldenkrais techniques, vestibular rehabilitation, women's health and treatment of chronic pain. She also has specific training in the McKenzie Methodology of assessing and treating spinal disorders.

About Deanna

Deanna is a mother of four who lives on Bainbridge Island. She moved here after 20 years overseas to be back in the Pacific Northwest near family. Her overseas adventures included Australia, Japan, Tanzania, Israel and South Africa. Deanna treats a wide variety of outpatient conditions including pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, pediatric, musculoskeletal pain, balance disorders, osteoarthritis, as well as neurological disorders including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and stroke.  She specializes in Aquatic Physical Therapy and Geriatric Strength Training and has a special interest in holistic therapeutic approaches including Craniosacral Therapy, music and visualization. Outside of her physical therapy practice, Deanna is an active woman who enjoys Nia, Pilates, strength training and jogging in between soccer practices for her boys, dance rehearsal for her girls, caring for a house in the woods and sitting down for family dinners with wine!  She bases her practice on the motto: People Tend to Support That Which They Helped Create.

About Emily 

Emily specializes in manual therapy for the treatment of orthopedic and neurologic disorders of the spine and the extremities. Combining her knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and athletics, Emily is focused on getting her patients back in action, whether that’s for occupational demands, competitive games, or recreational fun. Her personal interests include coaching lacrosse, playing league basketball and dodgeball, and getting caught in the rain.

About Bianca

Bianca provides individualized quality care, and encourages an active lifestyle, physically and mentally. Throughout her professional career, Bianca has gained experience treating patients with orthopedic injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. During her time as an Aztec, she ran NCAA Division I Track and Field, and throughout her youth, competed in tennis and soccer and danced ballet. For two years, she worked for Nike, where she performed gait analysis and managed the store’s running club, which participated in Southern California running events. She plans to further her education by pursuing a Pilates certification and a specialization in running.

 Outside of the clinic, Bianca enjoys running, skiing, traveling, and photography.

About Sarah 

Sarah Thomas has 10 years of experience as a physical therapist working with athletes, children, and orthopedic patients in San Diego. A graduate of Marymount University, Sarah started her clinical practice in a military setting where she became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). It was at this time that she integrated the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) with her patients after seeing great outcomes regarding reductions of pain and improvements of strength.  In 2013, Sarah began working with juvenile athletes, from gymnasts to football players, and became a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS). She focused her training on safely returning athletes to the field with low probability of injury reoccurrence.  Sarah’s treatment plans incorporate advanced manual therapy skills, functional movement exercises, and strategies to independently reduce symptoms. She is excited to join the team at New Motion PT.
